Main Dish
Classic Honey Glazed Spiral Ham
For many families, ham is the traditional centerpiece of an Easter meal. A glazed spiral ham that tastes like just like Honey Baked is always a favorite because it is flavorful, beautiful on the table, and easy to prepare.
The sweet glaze caramelizes in the oven and pairs wonderfully with savory side dishes like potatoes and roasted vegetables. Another advantage of serving ham is that it feeds a crowd easily and makes great leftovers for sandwiches or soups.
If you want to change things up, roasted leg of lamb or herb roasted chicken are also wonderful Easter main dish options.

Classic Honey Glazed Spiral Ham
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Place ham cut-side down in a roasting pan
- Add ½ cup water to pan. Cover tightly with foil. Heat for 10–12 minutes per pound.
- Mix glaze ingredients in a saucepan, stirring until smooth. Brush over ham, getting between slices with a pastry brush. Return ham to oven uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
- Remove ham and increase oven to broil (or use a kitchen torch if you have one).
- Do this in layers: 1. Pat surface of ham slightly dry. 2. Sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over ham. 3. Broil until bubbling & caramelized. Rotate pan for even caramelization if broiling.
- Repeat 2–3 times. This builds that thick, crackly coating, but watch closely since sugar burns fast!
- Let rest 10-15 minutes.
Classic Side Dishes
A great menu that features a beautiful hame balances rich dishes with lighter spring vegetables. Choosing a few classic sides ensures the meal feels festive while still being easy to manage.

Drain the onion slivers well before adding to the salad.
- Combine all ingredients in a medium-size glass jar and shake! Dressing can be kept at room temperature for several hours then refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Shake again before serving.
- Combine all ingredients except for the blueberries, candied pecans, goat cheese and pansies (if using) in a large bowl. Gently toss. Top with blueberries, candied pecans, goat cheese and pansies (if using). Serve the dressing on the side.
